Looking Down on Manchester – at night

-Look Up, Look Down Challenge, Week 49

Every Thursday, I publish a post containing photo(s) taken from above or below, and invite you to join in the challenge by posting your own photos with an up or down perspective.

When you have a hotel room with views like this, it’s tempting to stay up all night admiring them.

I didn’t quite do that, but here are some views from just before midnight – still busy down there!

If you’re visiting Manchester, I thoroughly recommend the Hilton Deansgate, which occupies the lower 23 floors of the Beetham Tower.   Up above are expensive apartments, favoured by the local football players amongst others.  As you can see, even from the “lower” floors, the views are to die for.

Welcome to week 49 and a huge thank you as always to those who entered last week.  I was particularly bowled over by the cute posts this week, and my favourite has to be Carol’s big and little shot, featuring an adorable Great Dane.  You can see all of the entries from this and previous weeks on my Pinterest board if you are seeking inspiration, or are just plain nosy.

All are welcome; please share your up or down perspective with us.  Simply create your own post as normal, create a link to this challenge and then click here to enter your link and to view other entries.  If you have any difficulties with the linky, please just leave your link in a comment below and I will upload your thumbnail.

Finally, please don’t forget to go and visit the other challengers and pass on your views and encouragement.

To find out more about how to enter, click here.  The linky list will open each Thursday at 00:01 GMT (or a bit before) and will be open for a week.

  1. So colorful – you could see quite a distance. Sorry about the link – I thought with your new linky tool I wouldn’t have to resize…:)
