In Scotland’s fish and chip shops you’ll find fried and battered sausages, black pudding, burgers and chip rump steak. The country is also known as the home of deep-fried Mars bars, believed to be invented just outside Aberdeen in 1995.
This trend has now developed: I spotted deep fried Pokemons in Edinburgh last week.
