Companies often do metered mail. They have a machine that weighs and franks (stamps) the mail. So no actual postage stamp. It’s cheaper per letter / parcel but there are overhead costs for the machine.
I know what you mean about time! Everything seems to take so long! Though I have to admit that it’s partly because of reviewing and editing my photos at any opportunity! I look forward to seeing your version Paula 😀
