This bright, smiley piece is by the French artist C215, born as Christian Guémy. He is an expert in stencil arts, and also uses spray paint and graffiti markers. His main focus is on faces, be they those of famous people or total strangers. This cheerful piece is on the walls of Cargo, a bar and music venue in a disused railway yard in Shoreditch. C215 has the company of other street artists’ work here, including a piece by Banksy.

Love it, Debbie. Totally different from the graffiti I’m used to.

I do believe I’ve seen some of his work in Venice.
