“Try to forget what objects you have before you … Merely think, ‘Here is a little square of blue, here an oblong of pink, here a streak of yellow,’ and paint it just as it looks to you, the exact color and shape, until it gives you your own impression of the scene before you.”
– Claude Monet
Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.
I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.
To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally – tweet, instagram, flickr, etc. with the hashtagtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS.

oh this is brilliant – wouldn’t take much to turn it into a painting 😉
And love the blue, really am missing the blue. Been far too much grey over the past few days.

Oh that blue, Debbie. It feeds the soul and everything else. Also the abstract quality of the composition. Splendid. Here’s my more earthly nourishment 🙂

Can’t paint. Can’t take a decent photo. Still learning my way around the keyboard but, man, it’s wearing me out.

I love Monet! But I’m hopeless at painting 😦 Maybe I should give it another try in the Algarve.
Thanks for being here, Debs. You’re an inspiration. Wishing you much joy in 2018 🙂 🙂

I’m hopeless at painting too! I did a beginner’s drawing class a few years ago and felt there was some hope of improvement. So yes, you should definitely give it a go out in the Algarve.
And there’s a great impressionism exhibition on in London at the moment – about the impressionists in London – at Tate Britain. a to-do before you go out to Algarve.

Ha ha! I’ll add to it – there’ll be a specific Monet exhibition at National Gallery in April. London trip definitely required!!!
