If you are lucky enough to spot a lion, the chances are he’ll be asleep.
Lions sleep for 18-21 hours a day, allowing the rest of the time for eating.
Unless they are on honeymoon, that is. In that case it’s a few days without food – sleep still takes time priority!

Yes, I used my 100-400 for these shots. The first of the square shots was at 200mm, the other one at 400.
