Cardinal Place entrance to Victoria Underground Station,  London,  March 2018

Victoria Underground station and the whole surrounding area has been undergoing knocking down, building up and smartening up for almost 10 years now.

The good news is that the work is almost complete and that access for all is much improved.  The ticket hall area at the main Victoria Station end is due to complete its revitalisation this summer, at which point the station will boast eight new lifts, nine new escalators, twenty new ticket gates, a doubling in size since 2009 and, most importantly, step free access.

    • I thought of you! Victoria was a challenge for anyone at rush hour, but now there is more space and it is so much easier. I hadn’t been there for a while and was very pleasantly surprised
