This was such a familiar sight when traveling in China! In most of the world that is a routing, but in the USA … some friends were shocked when I mentioned when we moved to the country side, “Am not going to buy an electric dryer, and to use our gas-powered one is not an option because gas is so expensive here. “So, how are you going to dry your clothes then?”
“The old way.” They questioned, “How is that?” I tried my hardest not to laugh:)

I really like the colors here – and the culture you grabbed. Enjoyed learning more about this country from your street shots – wonderful.

I was fascinated with daily life on the roofs in Shanghai.
I’m setting back in time with my word.

I like the use of the roofs, although flat roofs can be a problem is you’re somewhere that gets much rain, and I love all the colorful houses.

Ahhh… but would I enjoy sunbathing topless on one of those roofs? The colours are fascinating. Northern European towns are so … beige. I tried to stay colourful (even though the subject is grim, at least for pupils):

Yes, I don’t think I’d get much done – I’d either be dizzy or just gazing

Wooo! Lots of people joining in. 🙂 🙂 Many thanks for the link, Debs. This one should tie in well with the Lens -Artists everyday things, should I ever get round to it.

Yes, I noticed that, a fortuitous similarity in theme 🙂
