I was travelling last week- apologies if I didn’t get over to visit you, but I’ll be catching up over the next couple of days. I also haven’t had the time to pull together the list of entries last week, but here’s a big thank you to everyone who joined us to bring us something hidden.
Next week’s theme will be fire, so feel free to go mad with the colours after this monochrome week.

The structure of your photo is especially interesting in the monochrome tones, Debbie. Wonderfully done!
Another challenge I’d love to join. Meet my darling Smokey: https://figmentsofadutchess.com/2018/10/06/monochrome/

The pingback failed I think. I have done a double up which I don’t normally do.

Double is always worth doing. There have been some problems with ping backs recently, and sometimes it’s just that I’m slow to moderate.
And I loved your monochromes

I always do a refresh to see if the pingbacks work. Thanks for comment. It must be hard to keep up with submissions for your challenges. You do a great job 😀😀

So pleased I’ve found challenge. These are great images. I’ve been to this market. Never thought of monochrome for shots of roof.

It’s a wonderful place isn’t it. The remains now on display are brilliant.

Ah, I’ve just realised it’s not the market but the excavated ruins nearby!! I’m going to dig out my files from last year’s visit.

Yes, that’s right. It’s the old market building, but now just the ruins, a cafe and museum. I’m very impressed by their handling of this discovery

And it’s on a tourist route, it’s not much visited ( compared to other “must sees” in Barca)

Hello Debbie,
I thought I’d join in the challenge.
Unfortunately, my WordPress blog is giving me problems.
The happy helpers are working on it with me.
I cannot click on ‘Like’ or pingback.
I hope it’s o k that I added the url here. Thank you …
AND … yes, I do ‘Like’ your photograph very much.

Have you gotten it fixed yet. I’m having the same problem. I’ve found a temporary work around that works on most blogs. Let me know how it is going with you.

Sadly, no. I haven’t been able to fix it with all of the instructions the Happy Helpers at WordPress have given me. I think it’s a WordPress issue. A lot of bloggers are having this issue. We all can’t have computers rejecting because we don’t accept cookies or any other thingy they’ve asked me to do. I’m a blogger not a computer repairer. I do get a bit testy about this. I apologize for going on and on but, like you, I’ve figured a way around it – like My Reader – but I can’t leave ‘Likes’ or comments sometimes. I do hope you’ve been getting mine, Cee. If I get anywhere I’ll do a post on it. Thanks for letting me know you’re having issues too.
Issy 😎

Sorry to hear you’re having problems. I am too , but mine just involve WordPress crashing at least once a day when I try to add an image.
But I enjoyed your monotone contribution.

Thank you, Debbie. I wish I had more computer problem solving skills. It seems I’m not patient enough to wait for return emails with help. But, it is what it is and I do try to go with the flow. Have a super Friday …!!!

Somehow I’m attracted by opposites this morning: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2018/09/30/opposites/
And your monochrome photos illustrate another opposite to mine – very stark, little nuances in your photo, all the more striking in its effect.
