Research at the University of Manchester found that the colour of light – rather than simply its brightness – is what affects the body clock of mammals, a fact we can use to improve our sleep and get over jet lag. In fact, Virgin Atlantic have used colour lighting on their planes to help regulate their passengers’ body clocks.
