Pollution

Mural by Gus, Rivington Street, Shoreditch, London, April 2019

This mural is the work of Australian street artist, Gus Eagleton. He studied Fine Arts and Visual Arts in Brisbane, where he now lives, though you’ll spot his work in many cities around the world.

His illustration of the impact of pollution on our health, is well positioned at the top of Rivington Street, one of the roads that is included in the Ultra Low Emission Streets (ULEV) project in London. During peak hours, only low emission vehicles are allowed on these streets – no petrol, no diesel, and no old hybrid systems.

Welcome to One Word Sunday, and over to all of you to join the challenge with your own pollution post.

To join the challenge, please create a new post based on the theme (as wide an interpretation as you like) and use a pingback by putting a link in your post to the URL of this post. This allows others to have the opportunity to visit and join the challenge.  Then come back here and leave us a comment.
WordPress have recently admitted intermittent issues with ping backs vanishing (April 2019) so do feel free to also add your URL to your comment over here – I’d rather see you twice than not at all!

Thanks to everyone who brought us a tower or two last week – it was great to see so many types, sizes and locations. Special mention to Pat for her wildlife penthouse; and to Jason who popped out  to get us an observation tower at Gettysburg.

    • The new editor on WordPress has created a variety of issues. Little niggly things that aren’t being fixed 😦 But a small issue compared with pollution, as your lovely but sad image shows.
