There is something missing in this photo.
The limestone arch, known as the Azure Window, collapsed in a massive storm in March 2017. Both the arch and its supporting stacks are now submerged. It was major site in Gozo, a well-known symbol of the island’s natural beauty, and now famous for its appearance in Game of Thrones.

Welcome to One Word Sunday, and over to all of you to join the challenge with your own missing post.
To join the challenge, please create a new post based on the theme (as wide an interpretation as you like) and use a pingback by putting a link in your post to the URL of this post. This allows others to have the opportunity to visit and join the challenge.
Then come back here and leave us a comment.
WordPress have recently admitted intermittent issues with ping backs vanishing (April 2019) so do feel free to also add your URL to your comment over here – I’d rather see you twice than not at all!

Thanks to everyone who brought us some pollution last week – it was great to see your interpretations of this worrying topic. Special thanks to Ken for excellent words and a great image; to Sue for some different sides to pollution; and to Little Pieces of Me for a great action shot. It wasn’t the most cheerful of topics, sorry, so I’m sending a thank you to Eklastic who brought me a smile with her response.

Better late than never I say. There are too many items missing that could have reminded us how it used to be, but we can record the memories in photos. Love your photo, who knows how it used to be today?

How sad about the arch…a storm took out a big tree in our yard but photo of the whole it left told no story. Like yours does. So here’s Missing but not for long https://lightwords.blog/2019/05/12/missing/

This almost makes me wish I watched Game Of Thrones. It is a beautiful spot.
Here is my very obvious interpretation of something missing.

Mine is not as dramatic of a “miss” as a limestone arch, but nevertheless, for the owner it may be stressful, and cause renovation:) Have a great upcoming week!

Still a beautiful spot, but a shame to lose such a sight.

It´s still a lovely view but it must have been a magnificent scenery before the storm.

I was sorry not to have seen it before it collapsed, but yes, it’s a still a beautiful spot. In fact, Gozo is beautiful all over.
