Fashion

There are several equestrian statues in central Glasgow, and most of the riders have gone for traditional feathered fashion for their head gear:

However, the Duke of Wellington still prefers to cast tradition aside, and go more sporty.

There are more examples of fashion for Duke and Copenhagen here.

  1. Great photos Debbie. .
Please forgive me for referring to a couple of my own blog entries but your entry reminded me of a couple of statues in Sydney that occasionally are dressed up (planned and unplanned) – in particular an equestrian statue of King Edward VII – https://ramblingwombat.wordpress.com/2017/05/01/flamboyant-edward-vii/
There is another statue (bust) in Canberra which was actually moved prior to a visit by the current Queen lest she see it ‘dressed’ by students from the local university who regularly adorned it with various items. While I have a review on the statue it does not include any pictures of it dressed up — https://ramblingwombat.wordpress.com/2017/07/23/bellona-the-offensive-goddess/
