Bridge of flowers

Part of the summer display on Bridge of Flowers, Valencia, July 2019

Valencia’s Bridge of Flowers is a recent addition to the bridges that cross what used to be the River Turia, and is now a green space itself. It is a pedestrian and traffic bridge, added in 2002 to cope with increasing traffic in the city. It is decorated with around 27,000 flowers, which vary throughout the seasons, lining both sides of the bridge and separating people from vehicles with a tremendous splash of colour and beauty.
