The Edinburgh weather changes with speed

Clouds sweeping across Edinburgh, August 2019

Summer on Thursday; winter on Friday.

Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.

I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.

To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally – tweet, instagram, flickr, etc. with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS.

  1. Oh, I have friends descending on Edinburgh in the coming week (descending is the right word, there will be around a 1000 of them, of which I know a couple of hundreds, about 50 of them I call friends, about 20 good friends). If you have time, have a look out for the Eurohashers. On Wednesday, they will be at their most flamboyant, the shenanigans (and sport!) kick off with a (charity) Red Dress Run in Edinburgh on Wednesday. Near a brewery in the historic part of the city, is all I know. But if you see a lot of men (and women) in red dresses – that’s them. I always think it would be a great photo op but I’m usually too busy having fun and no hands free for a camera (holding at least one beer). Anyway, I hope they encounter Scottish rain and get thoroughly wet!
In the meantime, I dared to disturb one of the supreme rulers: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2019/08/10/how-dare-you-wake-me-human/

  2. Trying to remember when I was last there but I remember something very similar. Get that washing in quick! 🙂 🙂 Happy weekend, Debs! I won’t be hanging any of mine out in Leeds, either 😦

    • I think I might have escaped the worst of the weather and travel chaos by fleeing up here 🙂 My sister (another Jo ) arrived in a very grey Devon yesterday, with everything closed due to one of the major power cuts.
A lot of the washing spends days outside here – I think it gets caught in the rain and then they just leave it in the hope the sun will eventually shine!
      Enjoy your weekend too, Jo.
