Some people ask “what is the point of street art?” This floral mural gives us an answer, by using the point of a needle.

I’ve certainly never seen anything like that before! Lovely and amazing. But “cross” to “cross stitch”? You rascal!!
My response is to the verb form:

Hi Debbie, great post 😁 I’ve never seen that type of decoration before. Here’s my entry; you might recognise some of the places: https://jezbraithwaite.blog/2019/08/18/one-word-sunday-cross/

This illustrates the transience of street art perfectly. So much effort and in a few years it will be bleached … But trust you to find such an unusual interpretation of “cross”. I was playing around with another meaning, being annoyed or aggravated, but decided on a different route in the end. I kept it in the title, though. https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2019/08/18/a-spider-but-is-it-cross/

Creative to think of cross stitch- and you found it at an unusual place! Mine are the criss-cross way the tree trunks were laying in Yosemite Nat. Park.. Thanks for hosting and have a great August week!

I love doing cross-stitch but would never have thought of decorating a building with it!

Cross-stitch would be something small and innocent when being checked at the airport-except for the needle:) I remember I had a metal crochet needle with me, but my crochet work on it. The one who was at the machine, shouted, “metal!” but when the custom officer saw it, she laughed, and zipped my bag back up:)

Oh, neat! That must have taken some doing! Here are two aspects of ‘cross’ from me: https://suejudd.com/2019/08/18/one-word-sunday-cross/

It certainly must, Sue. Big stitches, but still a challenge.

How incredibly beautiful! I have seen crochet done around lampposts and created into street art – but this is the first time I have encountered cross-stiched street art. Wonderful!

Yes, I’ve seen knitting and crochet in a few places, and on a small scale, but this was my first outdoor cross-stitch
