– Apollo 11 on tv on the wall of the Abbey
Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.
I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.
To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally – tweet, instagram, flickr, etc. with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS.

I remember 1969 well. Watching the moon landing was a BIG deal!

I don’t think our tele was as smart as this one. And still on vintage lines here’s my out and about on the Severn Valley Railway earlier this week: https://tishfarrell.com/2019/11/02/look-out-ghosts-on-the-line/

Our TV probably looked like that. As to the moon landing, I don’t have a real memory of watching it,
I graduated from high school that year and was more interested in boys and clothes!

Our telly was new and very fickle. We hoped it would work on the night of the moon landing – and luckily it did. My parents woke me in the middle of the night (Germany). We had a girl from Austria staying with us, she was the same age as me (= 10) and she didn’t want to get up saying it would be boring. And I was so excited!
I had different plans for my sixer but I was glued to the telly this morning watching men battling it out in Japan. Not as momentous as the moon landing but hopefully an inspiration for all of South Africa! https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2019/11/02/ngiabonga-for-an-awesome-rugby-game/

Ah we are the same age!
I was out on a photography walk so no rugby for me. Though my disappointment was more yesterday than today as I support Wales over England.

Well, we didn’t have a telly, I saw the moon landing on the school TV! Here’s my Six : https://suejudd.com/2019/11/02/six-word-saturday-of-considerable-contrasts-and-contre-jour/

I didn’t have a TV in 1969. My student years. That’s a clue – though not as much as you might think, as I didn’t go to University straight from school. Goodness, aren’t we all being coy?

Aren’t we just! I’ll own up and say I watched the landing at home as I was still at school. It was fascinating though I have to say I was more interested in having a pony than going to the moon.

More attainable, anyway!

We are rightly coy, I say

I beg to be excused from answering the question on the grounds that the answer might incriminate me. 🙂 🙂 The light show sounds amazing though. Happy weekend, Debs!

It was very well done. I think they have probably done some work at Lumiere so you may have seen them. Though they do seem to specialise in churches and cathedrals. I’m off for what is expected to be a very wet walk around Battersea. I’m wrapped up! Enjoy your sun and party, Jo!
