How did it get so late so soon?

“How did it get so late so soon? It’s night before it’s afternoon. December is here before it’s June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon?”

Dr. Seuss

  1. This makes me sad. I love Christmas and I know retail has to get things out early, but it’s too early for me. Thankfully I don’t go to malls much, so if I stay out of store I should be good. 🙂

    • I agree Janet, it all starts way too early – because shops want to improve their sales. The pressure of online shopping on high street retail is huge so I sympathise with them, but really wish it didn’t start so soon.

  2. Love that quote….. I will store that in the memory bank and hope to use it some day. As to time….. well I have felt that time has had wheels on for some years now but this year its had the wings of a jet plane. They say it is because one gets older….but I know enough young folk who are bemoaning the speed of the year. Never mind soon be summer 🙂

  3. It’s here too! I saw my first Christmas tree on Monday. There are less shopping days here this year between Thanksgiving and Christmas than past years so they are getting a head start
