Sparkling star trails

Caledonian Road, London, January 2020

Work of street artist, Jimmy C

This work appeared in March 2016, so how did it take me so long to discover it?

You can see from these close ups, that Jimmy C made great use of his dotty style – the perfect way to give us those beautiful star trails.

It is interesting to note that the star trail piece was an adaptation of an earlier Jimmy C mural on this wall. The previous piece was a tranquil mountain scene, with a couple walking where the girl now kneels. It is now a much more dramatic, and thought-provoking work.

  2. That’s a particularly beautiful mural, and it’s interesting that the artist replaced his own work. Sometimes it’s sad when a mural disappears, sometimes it’s a natural part of the art. I see them all as ephemeral, though I also deplore the intentional destruction of murals with a political justice theme as happens in L.A.
