    • You’re right, she may well be on a regular route. And yes, good murals often get a certain amount of respect from the taggers. They are less tolerant of street art that has been commissioned and paid for.

  3. Yes to strength and surreal. I find a certain surreal quality in the woman walking past this mural while looking at her cell phone, as if the she and the painting exist on different planes. It is a poignant reminder of how often I walk around disconnected and unaware of my surroundings, and of how much I want to be aware and present.
