Spring colours in full flow

Spring is well settled now, with summer only a month away. Bright colours are popping up in the woods and hedgerows. I’m still missing the carpets of bluebells, but buttercups, forget-me-knots and foxgloves are working hard to replace them. And I saw my first red poppy a couple of days ago.

The weather has been very windy and cloudy the last few days which makes close ups a bit tricky, and the poppy seemed a little battered, but the colours were still there.

  1. Oh that poppy – what a stunning view you gave us – love the flowers you showed to All Seasons! Many thanks Debbie, and that you may have a flowery week:)

    • Not that far away but quite a difference in flowering times! Our ferns and foxgloves are doing quite well. There isn’t really anywhere that’s great on poppies near me so I’m lucky to see even that one!
