Another taste of the last supper

A modern mural inspired by Last Supper

Dublin’s Last Supper by John Byrne, Dublin, June 2014

This photographic mural, ‘Dublin’s Last Supper’ (2004), shows a modern-day re-enactment of Leonardo da Vinci’s ‘The Last Supper’. It was staged in St Michael’s and St John’s Church, Temple Bar, with the list of people who appeared, including a tattoo artist, a librarian, a PhD student and a builder.

Earlier this week, I featured a few more works that were inspired by Lenonardo da Vinci’s paintings. If you missed them, you can see them here.

Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.

I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.

To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally – tweet, instagram, flickr, etc. with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS.

  1. Even though it’s not authentic, it has the ecumenical spirit behind it. Happy Saturday, Debbie. For the entire last week, a blogging friend and I have been trading six-word comments that started with my entry last Saturday. We’re officially retiring the exchange today (Saturday), but it’s been fun. You never knew your challenge started that, did you? 🙂

    • Yes, he did a great job. I found it a fascinating use of photography – modern version with traditional feel. And I love the way the 6 words theme has kept you and you friend entertained all week. Now I need that to spread to politicians – only 6 words per day! Have a great weekend, Janet
