Freedom

Work of Dale Grimshaw, Bristol, image taken July 2020

Dale Grimshaw, a street artist from Lancashire, has been interested in tribal communities and their traditions and costumes since he was young. Now a concerned supporter of freedom in West Papua, he adorns our street walls with striking portraits of tribal people.

  1. When I first saw this, I thought it looked a bit like aboriginal art. It’s a fabulous piece. Sorry I’ve never heard of Dale Grimshaw. I guess he hasn’t made it to this side of the pond, yet. I DO like that you shared this beauty with us, though.
