‘La Conversación’ by Etienne,
Plaza San Francisco de Asís, Havana, November 2016
Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.
I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.
To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally – tweet, instagram, flickr, etc. with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS.

Unique sculptures … I think bronze scupltures can be very expressive without words.
Have a wonderful weekend,

Love that sculpture, Debbie. Can’t tell if they are slim or chunky, with their middles missing (lol!).

I absolutely love this and would love to see it. But whether I’ll ever make it back to Havana or not is a moot point. Still, your image conveys it well.

I rather like the sculpture apart from the superhero winged heads which seem to jar with the rest of it Minimalism for my 6 words this Saturday:

I know what you mean, David. They make me think of drama masks, but I’ve no idea if that was the intention.

Maybe it’s supposed to be a contrast between the realistic limbs and an abstract head.

Well, it’s certainly a conversation-starter! I’m staying firmly in Europe though – England, mainly: https://margaret21.com/2021/02/20/spring-yellows-from-aconites-to-buttercups/

I’m glad you’ve got your feet well planted, Margaret. I flitted off to Havana to find some stairs for Cee and I’ve been hovering there for a few days now. Finding it hard to drag myself home 😀

Intriguing art. Disconnected and yet connected.

It’s really interesting how the artist used space and yet it feels as if you see both people in their entirety. The angle at which you took the photo makes it appear that the statue on the left is leaning on or connected to the white divider a bit further back which made me take more than one look.

I think it tells us a lot about how our brains work, filling in gaps that we think shouldn’t be there. The viewer is as vital as the artist.
