Feathers on the rock

It’s Friday, and time for a flashback to an old Travel with Intent post.

I’m whisking us back to Bass Rock, a place I adore, whether I’m viewing it from water or from land. And I’ve chosen to feature it again today because I’m currently enjoying The Bass Rock by Evie Wyld.

Don’t ruffle your feathers

The gannets might ruffle theirs, but watching them has the opposite effect on me.

Bass Rock is worth visiting at any time of year – well, any time that the boats operate (dependent on the highly variable weather). An early trip in Spring, will see the birds arriving and a much quieter atmosphere than mid-summer.
