This grand statue of Ramon Berenguer III (1082 – 1131), Count of Barcelona, casts a statue that is possible more impressive than the statue itself.
The photo above is an old one (2007 in fact) and when I wandered down that way last week I found that poor old Ramon is currently enveloped in a blue tarpaulin, while they renovate the square in which he stands.
I hope the lighting goes back in the same position so I get to enjoy the impressive shadow again.

Hi Debbie,
What a great shot, and I’m happy that the powers-that-be are protecting the statue in lovely blue. Thanks for playing today.
Have a Beautiful Blue Monday!

The photo isn’t great quality though. I had hoped to get a new shot with my tripod – but it looks like I’ll need to wait a few months!

Sorry for the questions , I hope not to bother .

Only this week. I am going to the south of France for the weekend then home again.
I don’t come to Spain every week, unfortunately. But I will be back again later in the summer.
I was in Madrid at the beginning of last week but only for 2 days.
I do like sport, especially watching football and riding horses. I am going to France to see the white horses in the Camargue I have seen Barcelona at Camp Nou a few times. I haven’t see Real Madrid yet! Are you a football fan?
