Need some focus on your photography. Need inspiration, impetus or just a topic idea? Then a competition could be the answer.

So for all of you who fancy giving it a go, and either don’t know what’s open or don’t get around to it, here is a list to help get you started, in order of closing date.
Please let me know of any others you are aware of in the comments below as I update the page regularly. I must just add, that some of them provide feedback on your entered images and they are worth entering just to receive that.

Life Framer
Monthly calls for entries, with winners receiving online exposure and $2000 in cash prizes.  Varying costs to enter, but $100 for 12 months membership gives 10 entries to each month’s topic.

Entrance fee 25$ for a single entry or 30$ for a series.

Street Photography 2024
Closes 31 May 2024.
This competition aims to capture the essence of city living, showcasing the unique moments, characters, and stories that unfold in the streets. Entry £1 per image.

Hariban Award 2024
Closes 15 June 2024.
Prizes include a 2 week residency with the Master Printer of the Benrido Collotype Atelier in Kyoto.
Enter 8-12 black and white images. Entry fee of 50$

SINWP Bird Photographer of the Year 2024 
Closes 31 October 2024.
A minimum donation of £1 per image is requested and 100% of the donations will go to the RSPB.
