Pets and Travel Do Mix

I don’t have a pet at the moment, my lifestyle just isn’t suitable right now.  But when I did have my beloved dog one of the hardest things was leaving him behind when I travelled abroad.

Now, a pet shelter in Hawaii has come up with the answer.  Pet-loving tourists who are missing their own animals can borrow a shelter dog for a “field trip“.  By all accounts, this is proving extremely popular with both humans and dogs.

It sounds wonderful to me, but I know that I would likely be one of those that the shelter helps to arrange return dog travel for.  I just know I wouldn’t be able to resist and I’d soon be signing the adoption papers!

  1. One of the things I miss the most about my little prince (Maltese, passes away last August) is going on road trips with him! His reaction to new places made everything more fun.

Debbie I know you “do” challenges so, today I begun a Texture Tuesday “just for fun” challenge in case you want to check it out and join. I’d be honored since I look forward to your Look Up, Look Down Challenge 🙂

    Have a great day!

  2. Although we do seem to be overrun in our shelters, there is nothing wrong with adopting a rescue dog from another country. Except, what would they eat? Escargot and brie flavored dog food? Souvlaki? Hmmm.
