Famous faces in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, February 2017
Kaleidoscopic colours, geometric shapes and famous faces shout out the name of Eduardo Kobra. Born in Sao Paolo, Brazil, this talented artist brings people to life, with both incredible accuracy and amazing lines, shapes and swirls.
This mural brings to life a well known 1985 photograph by Michael Halsband of Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat wearing Everlast boxing gloves.

Kobra added this piece to the walls of Brooklyn in late 2014. It’s on the corner of Bedford Avenue at North 9th Street if you’d like to see it in person.

Very impressive composition. Although I have to say I never would have guessed the blond was Warhol. Guess I better have a look at the photo. Thanks for contributing to this week’s Monday Mural.
