Following the demise of the Berlin Wall, Potsdamer Platz is once more a vibrant square, bustling with people. Modern architecture and new shops and restaurants have brought life back to what had become a desolate place, damaged by war and then carved in two by the Wall.
On this sunny May day, it was hard to imagine the hard times the people here endured in the not-so-distant past.
Fantastic offset!

Yes, hatred and discrimination just seem to pass on by and infect another place

Wonderful ‘mackerel sky’. isn’t extraordinary how places with historical events [e.g., battles] associated with them seem so peaceful after time passes?

I was in Berlin about 6 months after the wall came down. I wouldn’t recognise Potsdamer Platz now. Great shot of the clouds

That and the Museum Island are completely unrecognisable from those days. And there is still a massive amount of rebuilding and renovation going on .

This is perfect, Debbie. The sky cut in by this block of concrete; great composition!
