Out of season works best for solitude in most places, that’s for sure, although sometimes there’s good reason for the lack of people. This looks like a beautiful place and I bet the workshop was great.

It was a wonderful island – such variety – and perfect for my camera addiction! It’s beauty is well known so the island gets packed in the summer – but April/May brings the spring flowers and not too many visitors.

As a teacher, I usually always have to travel out of season, so I end up in Europe when it’s cold and bleak—but there are no crowds!

I’m sure a bargain can be had (easyjet flight to start with!) and then hubby may be less reluctant 🙂
