City of Variety

Ponte de la Malvasia Vecchia,  Venice,  March 2017

Venezia in northern Italy is a city of beauty, charm and history.
It goes under many colloquial names, such as City of Water, City of Canals and City of Bridges.
It consists of 117 small islands, 177 canals and 409 bridges.

For me, it is the City of Variety.
It is the city to get lost in, the place to walk down narrow streets, peep through arches, peer round corners, clamber over bridges, climb up towers, laugh at those unexpected dead ends, and enjoy!
