Marx and Engels statues, Berlin, May 2017
Marx and Engels first met on 28 August 1844, at the Café de la Regency in Paris, beginning a lifelong friendship. You can find this pair between Palast der Republik and the Fernsehturm, on a temporary move due to development of the U5 line.

I seem to recall seeing these statues years ago – can’t remember where they were now

A funny thought crossed my mind now. If Marx were standing, would he be taller than Engels? The statues are remarkable, but I can see that someone has been tempering with Engels’ zipper 😆
