A big thank you Cee. And I’m glad your theme got me hunting in the archives. I had forgotten how beautiful that sunset was.

I’ve never seen the Thames barrier, but some years ago I went to Silvertown

The Barrier has been there since ’82 so were you there before that? Or just didn’t go to the river?

Didn’t go to the river

Makes sense. Otherwise you’d have been there as a toddler 🙂 🙂

A beauty and a decent stretch of river to walk along. South bank at sunset is a good way of seeing it, and maybe north bank at sunrise? I was there in June but as it’s an open area and shiny metal I assume it picks up the colours regardless of precise sun angles.

Well, if I ever get to London again ….

Yes, the quarantine could be a problem for anyone coming in from the north 🙂 🙂 🙂

I’d love to see the Thames Barrier up close, Debs. It looks fascinating 🙂 🙂

It’s gorgeous, and you can get so close to it. I did it on an overnight photography trip, and this was our first point of call, at sunset.
I want to get back there to see an opening or closing (they test it regularly). It was on my to do list last year but work always clashed with the event. I’ll do it one day!
