“Every thing that heard him play,
Even the billows of the sea,
Hung their heads, and then lay by.
In sweet music is such art,
Killing care and grief of heart
Fall asleep, or hearing, die.”
–Henry VIII, 3.1.4-15
There is always someone playing music in the streets of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, though a harp is pretty unusual.
Here is another example taken nearby, a photo I particularly like and which I’ve posted before.
Linked to Ailsa’s Weekly Travel Theme: Play and to Sundays in my City.
I particularly like the smile on the musicians picture in the first picture.

Seeing the street musicians’ style in those historic streets makes me feel like I’ve stepped into the pages of a classic novel.

The guy in the first picture is from Colombia… he’s very friendly and won’t mind sharing a few stories with you if you ask him… nice photos!
