Hidden away, just a few minutes walk from Holborn and Chancery Lane tube stations, lies Lincoln’s Inn Fields. The gardens and beautiful buildings here make a respite from the hubbub of London’s streets.
There I spied a tall, dark and handsome treat.
The black hollyhock, in fact a purple, chocolaty colour, makes a delicious companion to the beautiful buildings.

I often sit in Lincoln’s Inn Fields – it’s just the right size and has plenty of seats, though most people just sit on the grass. Never seen the black hollyhock though.
