The beauty of the English landscape is shown off at its best here in the East Sussex market town of Lewes.  Lewes is situated on the Greenwich Meridian, in a gap in the South Downs, cut through by the River Ouse.  The ruined castle provides the perfect point from which to admire the stunning landscapes.
