Genevieve, a 1908 Renault 11 HP

This fine specimen of a car is owned by Barcelona Town Council and is on display in the courtyard of the Ajuntament de Barcelona on Plaça de Sant Jaume.

It has been named La Genoveva (Genevieve), after the car of the same name from the 1953 film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.  If you like cars and fancy seeing this one in action, then check out the Barcelona-Sitges Rally.  This Genevieve has taken part in each of these rallies since 1978 and is expected to run again this year.

The rally runs annually, normally in March.  The 2014 date and car line up have not yet been announced.
