“Time, Gentleman Please” – this closing time call, common in British pubs, will soon be called at the Rovers Return. Filming of Coronation Street has moved to Media City and the site of the old set is earmarked for redevelopment. For a limited time, though, you can still tread those cobbled streets and stand behind the bar at the Rovers Return.

I used to watch it as a child but I got out of the habit

It’s a while now since they moved filming to the new studios. Did you notice any difference?

I’ve noticed that the street seems wider than before.
I also didn’t realize the old set was still open for tours.

That’s interesting. Did they build a whole new street at the studio or just the pub?

Great photo. Brings back a lot of memories of watching Corrie as a child. I don’t anymore.

I was especially pleased to find this as I thought the tours had finished when filming moved away.
