The fairly recently upgraded Leicester Square is now a pleasant place to sit and relax.

Fun fountains, a great Shakespeare statue and plenty of fellow visitors all provide something to watch. And if you’re lucky there’ll be a spot of musical entertainment too.

That first photo had me coming back to linger a few times- really great how you caught the back of the bench people – the guy on the right looking over vs. the guy on the left looking straight – and then the statue (pulling the eye up) and water fountain spikes and all misc. details – with the balanced of amount of people in the far back – such an interesting comp.
also, I like that ignorance quote – and not sure what this looked before the reno – but nice job to those that fixed it up.

Looks as though Shakespeare is looking for a loo!

With the first picture, it seemed everyone sitting on the benches were waiting for some oratory from the man himself!

Thanks for posting this. I left London back in April so it’s nice to see the square open to the public again and to see so many people enjoying the space.
