Colourful living in Burano, May 2014

A colourful note: this shade of hot magenta was formulated by Crayola in 1990. To add some colour confusion , there had been a Hot Magenta Fluorescent crayon since 1972, albeit a slightly different shade to this version. In 1990, Hot Magenta Fluorescent took on a new name, and a new shade took on the name Hot Magenta.
Whatever its name it certainly makes an eye catching house colour, even on Burano which has many, many cheery shades to entice you down every street. If you fancy the colour to be part of your life, Ford offer it as a premium option on their Fiesta cars (though not quite as bright as this).

I love brightly colored houses and buildings. Wish we were allowed to do this here, since most houses/buildings are so much alike anymore.
