Fjäderholmarna, Stockholm Archipelago, February 2016
The islands off Stockholm may look very quiet, and empty, now, but they’ll be back to life in summer. It has been a very mild winter this year, by normal expectations, so the ice breaker boats haven’t been as necessary as usual. Soon the boat schedules will be back to their busyness, though, with big changes to the timetables in April and May.

Debbie, forgive my curiosity, but do you travel for business or do you have the wonderful luxury of traveling to all these places for fun? I enjoy being able to go along via your photos and words, whatever the reason.

Hi Janet Mostly it’s on business. For example, I was in Stockholm for business last week, but I added on a day for myself in Gothenburg, so it cost me a train and 1 night hotel. Plus I take lots of photos in any gaps I get between meetings so it probably looks as though I’m away more than I am really! Some of my UK travels are business too, but mostly they are me getting out wherever I can, with my camera. Glad you enjoy it!
