A colourful note:  this shade appeared anonymously in 1992 as part of the public naming competition, and was named tumbleweed by winner Julee Robinson, aged 33.

Tumbleweed is a part of several different plant species: it is the part that once dry gets blown away from the rest and tumbles down the street.  This winter, it has made the news headlines in a number of places, including Albuquerque (USA) and Victoria (Australia), where the dry windy weather has built the tumbleweed into barriers up against house walls.
