Urban Agriculture shop in Trinidad, Cuba, December 2016
Cuba’s food and goods supplies collapsed when the USSR fell and urban agriculture (small areas in cities and towns used to grow vegetables an raise animals) became a necessity.

I really loved Havana when I visited back in 1999. It was amazing to turn a street in a dry and dusty city to find a beautiful well tended vegetable patch. Great shot! 🙂 #mysundayphoto

It’s still a great place to visit. I was impressed by the friendliness, positivity and copy of the local that i met

Cuba is so gorgeous and vibrant. I will never forget going years ago and turning a corner in a dry dusty part of Havana to find the most beautiful well tended vegetable patch! Great photo! 🙂 #mysundayphoto

This was Trinidad. I had a lovely early morning walk out of the touristy centre onto a very busy outer street, full of locals with horses and oxen.
