Shoreditch,  London,  January 2017

This Horseman of the Apocalypse, by street artist Fanakapan, decorates the walls of a now closed bar on Rivington Street, Shoreditch.

A colourful note:  the light lavender crayon, known as wisteria, entered the Crayola family in 1992.

It is named after the delicately coloured plant that is popular with both insects and humans.   For us, its real plus point is that it grows the happiest in a wet spring and can cheer us up even when the sun doesn’t oblige.

Update July 2017:  the bar has reopened under a new name but the horseman is still there.
