Icon of Christ the Saviour in Southwark Cathedral,  London,  February 2017

My thoughts today are with all affected by last night’s evil and cowardly attack on innocents in London.

The vicious attack took place close to Southwark Cathedral and the area is closed this morning so I will leave you with my peaceful images, taken on a candlelit evening earlier this year.

  1. The One in the picture? He weeps. He still calls every person to a peace that the world doesn’t give. I pray more would look to Him. I pray for those families and victims. Have mercy on us, O Lord. 😥

      1. True. I cannot justify any kind of violence in my roots in Jesus Christ and the early Christians in the book of Acts. But yes, even those claiming to follow Christ in years and centuries past have used unwarranted zeal not grounded in the words of the Savior to commit horrible acts. But the root of evil lies within the the weakness of our flesh and the push by unseen powers and principalities some are unwilling to acknowledge. Sorry. Not trying to get preachy. But many times when I feel the desire to retaliate if hurt I have to remember that my battle is not against flesh and blood. Ephesians 6. I know there are many in the Muslim community who have embraced their teachings and have become more godly people with no desire to wipe out anyone who does not believe accordingly. May we learn to love our neighbor as ourself.
