Riding the tram in Lisbon

Number 28 tram, Lisbon, May 2017

Lisbon’s trams and funiculars are a great way to get round, bringing great fun, a taste of history and giving your legs a rest. For a great tour of the city, be sure to take the number 28.

  1. There is something about riding trams that’s just more fun than buses or trains. I love the character of the old bone-rattling ones, but at the end of a shopping trip, the sleek new versions are such a joy.
