The 6 statues that made up Anthony Gormley’s 6 Times series, were originally installed in 2010, but there were technical problems that caused the men to be “drowned” when the Leith flooded, so they were removed. This problem has now been resolved and the men are returning!
I hadn’t heard about their reincarnation and was pleasantly surprised to spot this fellow as I walked into Edinburgh yesterday.

Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.
I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.
To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally – tweet, instagram, flickr, etc. with the hashtagtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS.

Such an artist, Antony Gormley. This is fabulous, Debbie. In a similar vein casting-wise (well somewhat) here’s my 6WS with extra words. Am also late on parade due to too much gardening: https://tishfarrell.com/2019/05/25/in-the-red-iron-bridge-makeover/

Now that’s an attention getter. Much more artist then actual naked men that run around San Francisco

His face turned upward, he is soaking in the sun while cooling his feet. Marvelous! Have a great weekend, all of you.

Blimey, I didn’t know Gormley had been so prolific with his statues….and drowned statues, as well! Here’s my Six Words, Debbie: https://suejudd.com/2019/05/25/six-word-saturday-light-and-shadow-on-the-steeple/

He seems to have a huge range of work. He has been at it for 45 years, and there’s a big exhibition of his work opening at the Royal Academy in September

That front facing shot is wonderful, Debs. It’s a sort of ‘give me strength’ attitude but the reflection makes him look like he has cloven hooves. Brilliant! 🙂 🙂 Happy Saturday! Not taking part today. Catch up when I can.

He looked great standing in the river, gazing downstream. Pure chance I found him, but others clearly knew. There were several people there with tripods and even a drone! A popular return, I think!
Have a great weekend, Jo, and enjoy your holiday
