Hot dogs galore

Do you like a hot dog?
Do you like a lot of hot dogs?
If you answered yes to those questions, then the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest could be for you.

Coney Island, February 2017

The contest takes place every July in Coney Island, New York City. It has become a well known American tradition and is  sanctioned by the International Federation of Competitive Eating (IFOCE).

The defending men’s champion is Joey Chestnut, who ate 71 hot dogs in the 2019 contest, down from his record of 74 which he achieved in 2018. The defending women’s champion is Miki Sudo, who ate 31 hot dogs in the 2019 contest.
