It was actually a bit of both. She came really close to the jeep and I’ve got shots looking down on her with her in the shadow of the vehicle and her tail missing because she was too close for my 100-400. . But these shots are at 400mm.

And this made me have a look to see what proportion of photos were with what lenses. There were times when I could have done with 600, but I didn’t have one! 60% are with my 100-400. Rest with other lenses ranging 16-70.
